James Milner
Group Head of Growth
James (MSc FCCA Chartered MCSI) is an accountant with over 20 years’ experience in the finance industry. He is focused on building and sustaining growth across all of our Altum offices, overseeing our CRM and intermediary programs as well as contributing to our product mix and strategic expansion.
Prior to joining Altum, James spent 6 years at Crestbridge, initially in technical roles and later being a top performer in their institutional business development team through a period of unprecedented growth. He is a specialist in European fund distribution, multi-jurisdictional structures, economic substance and regulatory requirements for fund managers.
He built his expansive technical background holding accounting, finance and regulatory roles at Deutsche Bank, HSBC Private Bank, BDO and in-house at a real estate fund manager.
In addition to being a Fellow of ACCA (FCCA), James has been awarded a Master’s Degree (MSc) in Professional Accountancy by the University of London/UCL, is a full member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (Chartered MCSI) and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) certificate in Fundamentals of Alternative Investment. He is also an approved principal person with both the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) and the National Futures Association (NFA) in the United States.
When not talking about funds, James enjoys running around after his young family, surfing, sailing and jogging on the cliff paths near his home in Jersey.
